Visitors planning a Christmas trip to Curitiba will have a new attraction to add to their itinerary. The musical production “Disney Celebrates: An Unforgettable Christmas 2026” opens on 8 December at the Positivo Events Centre in Barigui Park.
The event has been part of the city’s official Christmas calendar since 2025.
The season will include 29 performances in total: 25 public performances and four social sessions. Organisers expect approximately 95,000 people to attend, representing around 3,350 spectators at each performance.

Programme for the musical “Disney Celebrates: An Unforgettable Christmas 2026”
Laura Castro and Saulo Vasconcelos return as the production’s hosts. They play characters tasked with looking after dreams and wishes arriving at a distribution centre. As the show unfolds, Disney characters join the story to turn those wishes into a Christmas celebration.
Music, characters and family entertainment
The production brings together music, characters and theatrical elements in an experience designed for families. Its programme has been created to bring generations together through familiar stories and characters from the Disney universe.
Alongside the ticketed performances, Barigui Park will host free attractions throughout the season. These include Disney+ Open Air, which will screen films outdoors. The programme will be arranged by themes and studios, featuring both recent releases and classics.
Special Disney+ Open Air screenings are also scheduled on weekday mornings and afternoons for pupils from the municipal school network.
Christmas settings and accessible activities
The venue will also feature Christmas-themed settings, photo areas, themed activations and further experiences inspired by the Disney universe. Installations connected to the company’s characters and productions will also be placed throughout Barigui Park.
According to the organisers, the project’s various spaces and activities are being planned with accessibility and inclusion features to welcome visitors of different ages.
